Join our practice as an Customer Service/Front Desk – we are willing to train!
Summit Vision Source is seeking a Customer Service/Front Desk agent. The primary role is to assist patients in person and on the phone with their needs. We are looking for a friendly, compassionate, and outgoing personality! .
What makes a great Customer Service/Front Desk Agent?
- Having a passion for helping people of all ages
- Good technical and computer skills and typing speed of at least 50 wpm
- Good communication and organizational skills
- Excellent customer/patient service skills
- Detail-oriented and great follow-through
- Ability to work in both individual and team settings
- Being self-motivated and working with a positive demeanor and accountability.
What experience is required?
We are willing to train strong candidates. Candidate should have at least a high school diploma or equivalent. Helpful assets include a great aptitude for learning and a genuine positive outlook. Previous medical or optometric office experience is a plus. Candidate should be adaptable to working in a fast-paced role and enjoy working both independently and with a team.
Job Responsibilities
- Reception duties, include but not limited to answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, all customer service related inquiries
- Ordering and checking in contact lenses
- Confirming appointments and verifying insurance
- Billing Vision Plans
Benefits
This position is full-time or part time. Our office hours are Monday through Thursday (9 am – 5:30 pm) and Friday (9am – 5pm). Benefits include health insurance, Simple IRA retirement plan with matching, holiday pay, and paid personal time off. Uniform allowance and performance/production bonuses.
